When you save a picture, instead of saving as jpeg. .... save as bitmap.
Bitmap does not compress the picture which gives it a better quality.
When you upload bitmap image up to photobucket, it will automatically convert to jpeg... but still have good quality.
You see the difference with yours and mine?
